Connect is committed to your right to be involved in the management of your home. We will give you opportunities to influence our policies and to monitor the quality of our services. We will provide support and training to you if you need and want it. Full details of these rights can be found in our Tenant Participation Compact, which was written in consultation with Connect tenants.
We will:
Consult you on any significant changes in the services that we provide to you and your home.
Send you a newsletter to update you on our work, our performance and any other information that may be of interest to you. We welcome tenants’ contributions to this newsletter.
Produce an annual report on the last 12 months.
Send you copies of our policies if you ask for them.
Offer a variety of options to help you become involved in ways that are convenient for you. These are described in our “Tenant Involvement Menu” (please ask for a copy)
Actively encourage tenant groups. We can provide training if you would like it and we may be able to help the group financially.
Provide an agreed level of funding for tenant volunteer expenses.
Reserve an observer place on the Board of Management for elected tenants’ representatives.
Facilitate an association-wide tenants’ federation (currently the Connect Residents Federation or CRF) to represent the views of tenants and to be consulted about a wide variety of issues.
