How the Points System Works

Home Finder
how the points system works

Our waiting lists are temporarily closed unless one of the following circumstances applies to you:

  • You have been declared unintentionally homeless by the local authority (a copy of a letter from the local authority confirming this will be required)

  • You are aged 50 years or over and would like to be considered for category I housing.

Housing need is assessed using a points system which is designed to ensure that applicants in greatest need receive the highest priority in tenancy allocation.

Greatest priority is given to rehousing roofless applicants and those living in overcrowded conditions. Existing tenants who wish to transfer receive some priority.
