Our waiting lists are temporarily closed unless one of the following circumstances applies to you:

  • You have been declared unintentionally homeless by the local authority (a copy of a letter from the local authority confirming this will be required)
  • You are aged 50 years or over and would like to be considered for category I housing.

We aim to provide good quality homes at affordable rents for those people in the greatest need.

We have around 800 properties in Kirklees & Calderdale approximately half of which are designated specifically for older people, the rest being a mix of family and single person housing.

Anyone can apply to be registered on our housing waiting list in Kirklees & Calderdale. We aim to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and has equal opportunities and we will not discriminate on such grounds as race, colour, gender, sexuality, disability or religion. We welcome applications from all members of the community.

We work closely with the local councils in the areas where we have homes and we give consideration to people in housing need who are "nominated" by them.

All Connect tenants have the right to exchange their home with another tenant of the association, local authority or other housing association, providing the association agrees in writing.

We aim to create balanced and sustainable communities and in some areas operate local lettings policies that help in achieving this.

All applications will be dealt with in line with our selection and allocation policy and procedure. Applications are dealt with by our Lettings & Marketing team.

Our application pack contains details of how to apply, how we deal with applications, the Housing Corporation "Charter For Housing Association Applicants and Residents", a list of the association’s properties and their location, and an application form.
